Creative Community Gallery
Engaging with design, expression and creativity…
Creativity is all around us, explaining, exploring, identifying and imposing meaning on the world in which we live. It is in the streets, in everything we read and everything we wear. It engages us in advertisements, magazines, buildings, the logos on our shirts, the objects we use, the television programmes we view, the music we listen to and the places we live.

The University approached both 3M and 'Ikea Cardiff’:http://www.ikea.com/gb/en/ with the opportunity to support a Creative Community Gallery at ATRiuM for the purposes of engaging with members of the public, local business community, artists, photographers, students and University staff on a ‘frame adoption basis’. Participants will be free to present their drawings, paintings, photographs and creative ideas within the frames of the gallery… everyone is welcome.
‘Command Strip’ wall hooks have been kindly donated by 3M and will be used to hang the artwork and frames of the Creative Community Gallery. This new innovative product will allow the frames of the Gallery to be hang with no nails or damage being made to the walls of ATRiuM… not even the paint will be damaged! Please click here to learn more about Command Strip products.
The artwork will be presented within the main ‘Street’ of Atrium. Ikea Cardiff have kindly donated the frames which will be used in the gallery and have shown a fantastic enthusiasm and support in developing this new concept to Atrium and Cardiff.
