From Coal House to Dr Who, South Wales has played host to a range of quality television recently, and this one-day Symposium to be held at ATRiuM examines the BBC’s BAFTA Award winning sitcom Gavin and Stacey.
Highlights of this unique one day event will include a keynote speech by Andy Medhurst, author of A National Joke: Popular Comedy and English Cultural Identities, as well as a live comedy performance by Simon Howells. There will also be a reception co-sponsored by the Welsh media journal Cyfrwng.

Registration for the symposium is now open, and in order to guarantee a place, forms should be completed and returned to Amanda Turner at aturner@glam.ac.uk by no later than Friday 21st August.
