Following a major strategic review, the Glamorgan Centre of Art & Design, Coleg Morgannwg has merged with Glyntaff campus along with both HE and Foundation Art & Design course provision into the University of Glamorgan.

Students enrolling onto the College’s Higher Education (HE) courses this year will become students of the University’s brand new Cardiff School of Creative & Cultural Industries which is a major new building in Cardiff city centre*. The £35 million purpose built campus will bring together the creative disciplines including design, arts, media, performing arts and music.

The following HE courses are now available:

BA (Hons) Animation – 3 years – Cardiff/Glyntaff*
BA (Hons) Computer Animation – 3 years – Cardiff/ Glyntaff*
BA (Hons) Interactive & Motion Design – 3 years – Cardiff
BA (Hons) Photography – 3 years – Cardiff

The FE course, Diploma in Foundation Studies Art and Design will be based at the Glyntaff site for this year, and will be moving to the University’s Treforest Campus* for September 2008. The Foundation course will provide progression onto the relevant Degree programmes.

* All students enrolling on courses currently run within GCADT will remain in Glyntaff during the 2007/08 academic year will be based Cardiff/Treforest from September 2008.
