Glamorgan journalism student wins fashion blog prize

A journalism student from the University of Glamorgan has won a prestigious award for her fashion blog.
Louisa Marsden collected the yougo Clothes Show Live Young Blogger of the Year Award at the Clothes Show Live event at the Birmingham NEC last month. She received the prize for her piece on androgynous supermodel Andrej Pejic.

Interior Design students from the University of Glamorgan have helped create dream bedrooms for two lucky children in Newport.
Dani, aged 12, and Megan, aged 7, won the Design Your Ideal Bedroom competition run by Newport City Homes to see their dream bedrooms made a reality.

Glamorgan interior designers win housing award with Newport project

Designs created by University of Glamorgan students have won a prize at the Welsh Housing Awards.
The work by BA (Hons) Interior Design students from the university’s Cardiff School of Creative and Cultural Industries picked up the Making the best use of stock award at the event.
Their project, entitled Turning Hard to Lets into Hard to Gets, involved creating a show home as a prototype for sheltered accommodation in Woodside, Newport.

Radiohead guitarist Ed O'Brien Visits CCI

Radiohead guitarist Ed O’Brien visited students at the University of Glamorgan this week to take part in a discussion on the music industry.
O’Brien appeared at the university’s Cardiff School of Creative and Cultural Industries in his role as a board member of musician’s rights organisation the Featured Artists Coalition (FAC). He was joined by Jonny Dawson from the Music Managers Forum (MMF).

CCI students broadcast new Radio Cardiff show from 3pm Today

Students from the Cardiff School of Creative and Cultural Industries will begin broadcasting their new show A Different Take, live from the Radio Cardiff studios this afternoon from 3-5pm.
The show will go out at the same time every Thursday afternoon on 98.7FM and www.radiocardiff.org.
