Dani, aged 12, and Megan, aged 7, won the Design Your Ideal Bedroom competition run by Newport City Homes to see their dream bedrooms made a reality.

Both girls and their families were thrilled with the new look rooms. “Megan’s room hasn’t been redecorated since she was a baby – she is so excited!” said Megan’s mother Victoria.

Interior design award leader Dr Erica Liu coordinated the students during the project. “Working with Newport City Homes on the bedroom makeovers has been great experience for the students” said Erica. “Seeing how happy Dani and Megan were with their new bedrooms was just fantastic!”

Interior design students from the Cardiff School of Creative and Cultural Industries also worked with Newport City Homes earlier this year on an award winning housing project.
