Research
The Cardiff School of Creative & Cultural Industries revolves around a diverse range of interdisciplinary research work that benefits from the faculty’s rich variety of themes, media and expertise.
Both staff and postgraduate students carry out research and scholarly and practice-based work across a broad range of areas, and regularly come together to pitch their ideas during discussion sessions. An increasingly busy programme of conferences, seminars and symposia allow them, and peers in their field, to engage in critical public discourses around key issues in contemporary media and performance culture and the creative sector.
We embrace academics and practitioners keen to produce research work in emergent creative sectors. We have a number of visiting professors and fellows, many of whom are active players within industry. We are also developing strong international links, as well as building on existing relationships with the likes of BBC Wales, S4C and the Welsh Assembly Government.
