Communication Design facilities

• Dedicated design studios for all awards, with ample display areas and shelving storage for student work.
• 40 Macintosh iMac computers, with software including Quark Xpress, Photoshop, Illustrator, In-Design, DreamWeaver and Flash.
• A further 40 Macintosh iMac computers with software including Final Cut Pro, Adobe After Effects, Maya, Photoshop, Illustrator, In-Design, DreamWeaver and Flash.
• 30 State of the Art PCs with 3D Studio Max, Adobe Premiere, Adobe After Effects, Maya, Photoshop, Illustrator, In-Design, DreamWeaver and Flash.
• A3 and A4 colour printing and scanning are available on all floors, while large format A2, A1 and other specialist printing is accessible through the Print Bureau.
• Year 3 culminates in a showcase of design work attended by local and national employers.

General Purpose Teaching Spaces

• 170 seat main lecture theatre
• 130 Seat Cinema and Auditorium
• Multiple general purpose teaching spaces fitted out with integrated instructional technology facilities and control systems
• All teaching spaces interlinked enabling the ATRiuM to stream content from any teaching and learning space to all other teaching and learning spaces

Computing Facilities

• Multiple subject-specific and multidisciplinary computing labs
• 64 individual flexible workspaces in LRC, including 32 PC-equipped workspaces
• Loan laptops for use throughout facility (principally LRC), access via wireless networking
